WEST CHICAGO, Ill. – The Board of Directors of the Agency on Aging of Northeastern Illinois has appointed Christina Deutschmann to the Agency’s Advisory Council as a Lake County representative. Christina will fill a vacant position and serve a three-year term.

Ms. Deutschmann is an independent insurance advisor that specializes in the needs of individuals 50 and older and focuses on Medicare, Long Term Care and Life Insurance. She volunteers for Catholic Charities in Lake County to learn more about their programs and services to better serve her clients. She also volunteers at the senior center one night a week serving dinner. She worked for the American Cancer Society as the Regional Director which provided her valuable experience in non-profit operations, volunteer management and advocacy.

“The Agency on Aging Northeastern Illinois is pleased to welcome Christina to the Advisory Council” said Marla Fronczak, Executive Director for the Agency on Aging Northeastern Illinois. “We believe Christina’s dedication to serving older adults and knowledge of Medicare and insurance benefits will be a great resource for the Advisory Council.”

The Agency on Aging of Northeastern Illinois is a nonprofit organization responsible for developing and coordinating a network of services for older persons throughout an eight county area in northeastern Illinois. The Agency informs and advises public and private agencies and the general public of the needs of older persons living in the area, and acts as an advocate on their behalf. The agency serves DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, and Will counties.
